Here's how I really feel about turning 30...

The A-to-Z challenge made me realize that there are so many things I yearn to experience, to try, and more importantly to share (whether it be here on le blog or in the company of others).

For the longest time, I've been scared of turning 30 (It's happening 2 weeks from tomorrow). I mean the thought of leaving my 20's is a bit frightening, but if you consider my time in gestation, I'm already technically past 30, so I do find some comfort in that. Aside from everyone I love the most getting older and the anticipatory grief of them dying, I struggled for a while with the aftermath of failed relationships that tarnished my expectations of where I thought I would should be at this milestone in my life. I thought I would be married and have kids when I turned 30... so with each year of my 20's passing, I questioned if there was perhaps something wrong with me, lamented on being alone forever, yada yada...

But here I am, two weeks from turning 30 and I realize that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Truthfully, I'm thankful for unanswered prayers and that I didn't get what I thought that I deserved. I'm not jaded by any means, perfection doesn't exist, so I'm not holding out for that, but I'm not going to settle for someone that isn't a perfect for me just for the sake of meeting a item on an agenda that shouldn't be there in the first place.

At this stage in my life, I feel quite lucky that I get another opportunity to fall in love again with the right person and I'm in no rush. When it's meant to happen it will. In the meantime, I'm blessed with all that I have. Two weeks shy of 30: I own a home; have no credit card debt; paid off my car; have six months of expenses saved; an established retirement account; am active in my community; have a job that I enjoy; have two masters degrees; have traveled overseas; have amazing friends and family. While I wouldn't mind being a bit thinner or having less issues with my skin (Rosacea and sun allergies blow...) honestly, I'm happier than I've ever been.

Do I want to get married one day? Absolutely, to the right person, not just to get married. Do I want kids? Maybe. All I know is that I'm finally to the point where  I'm looking forward to my 30's. The decade of my 20's was a bit rough, but I'm quite positive that the best is yet to come.

Z is for Ziplining..

I'm a pretty typical girl in that I'm an animal lover (Thank you God for not giving me animal allergies). I once got to feed a giraffe in San Diego at the Wild Animal Park and it was a monumental moment in my life. Could I please get a do over?

The obvious choice for "Z" would be a day spent at the zoo, but my first choice would be a do over for a different kind of monumental moment... I spent a month in Japan a few years ago and went to a place in Okinawa, amidst the treetops, called Forest Adventure. It was a ropes course that also included Ziplining. Now... the fear was totally real, but the adrenaline rush and the experience was amazing. I launched myself off platforms, soared through the trees, climbed up towers on ropes... it was so much fun, and something that would be a memorable experience to share.

If you are allergic to the zoo, or crippled with a fear of heights, you could let wanderlust win and jet set to the land of Zeus for a Grecian getaway.

What would you do for "Z" to end your alphabetical dates?

"X" marks the spot

Sadly, "X" is one of those letters that will make you have to get creative. Obviously you could translate it to an XXX date, but my grandmother reads this blog, so you won't find blogs about 50 shades of sexy times here [insert appropriate emoji here].

Believe it or not, there are options that don't include getting nekkid. For instance, you could go to a Shakespeare festival to see Taming of the Shrew (or you can watch the more modern take on the drama with the movie, 10 Things I hate about you). Essentially, the shrew is a xanthippe (pronounced san-thip-pee) which is basically a nagging housewife that can't be pleased.

If Shakespeare is a snoozefest for you, you could opt for a little treasure seeking in the form of geocaching. You get GPS coordinates for a location that you have to find, so it's like a modern day treasure map of sorts. You could opt to do this and camp out at a KOA campground, their sign basically incorporates a big "X." It should count right?

I feel like there should be loopholes with the letter "X" and you can use options that simply sound like it, with some bonus points if the letter is actually in the word. In this case, I would want to get a group of friends together to head down to Nashville for the Escape game. It's a simulator of sorts that requires you to work together with your group, in an effort to successfully exit or escape the scenario that you've chosen. The simulator is timed, which adds to the pressure. 60 minutes - I wonder if I could be in a group to escape? I'll be sure to let you know.

What would be your "X"?

W is for exploring the World....

I know after you read my date choice for "V" that you would be like, "Oh, she's totally going to pick Winery for W" I'm not that much of a lush, and there are more options than enjoyable ones that incorporate servings of fruit in a glass...so I'm going to pick something different.

I'd like to take a step on the wild side for "W" and would like to go White Water rafting. You can opt to do anything real with Water - boating, washing the cars old-school style, going to a water park, etc.

In addition to the option of all things water, "W" encompasses one of my favorite ailments, Wanderlust. You could decide to embark on a magical trip to Walt Disney World... or you could pick a country in the western hemisphere to explore. I'd probably pick the latter simply because there is so much of this world that I yearn to explore...

What about you? What would you do with "W"?

V is for Vineyards...and vineyards...oh, and vineyards.

Unfortunately,  I'm not that creative when it comes to the letter "V"because my brain becomes a one track mind... headed straight to a vineyard. Liquidated fermented fruit is one of my favorite ways to consume a serving of fruit... now for me personally, I tend to lean more to the least heart-healthy sweet white wines BUT many of you are fans of red, which means that this is a date that technically comes doctor recommended.

To take care of Wanderlust... I wouldn't mind jetting off to Vermont for a ski trip, venturing to Venice, Italy for a ride down the canals in a gondola vessel or trekking to Venezuela to see the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls.

Now you can certainly plan your dates around your palette, opting to cook/dine with menus that include items that start with the assigned letter. So in this case, what about a meal with veal or a course with venison?  (if you are opposed to eating baby cow, or meat in general than you can opt for a delectable vegetable extravaganza.) Perhaps you could even flex your vocabulary skills following dinner by playing a game that uses those vast word skills of yours... Scrabble?

What would you plan for "V"?

U is all about going under....

For me, "U" is all about going under... whether that's underground, underwater or to the Land Down Under.

You'd think as the daughter of a Navy Submariner that I would be like a fish in the water... truthfully, I'm more like a dead fish. My Grandad taught me how to float on my back, so I've got the dead floating fish thing down pat. Learning how to swim is something that I want to tackle. One of my besties, Kate briefly introduced a few years ago, but it's definitely something that takes a bit of practice. Lessons are needed, because I would really like to be able to scuba dive.

Living in KY, means I'm privy to one of the longest cave systems in the world... so we could go underground on a spelunking date or we could go to the Underground Caverns in Louisville for an underground date...(they have zip lining underground too!)

Naturally, it's important to include wanderlust items as part of the potential "u" dates, so obviously the I would volunteer as tribute for a trip to the Land Down Under... hugging koalas, and sitting in a Great White Shark cage by the reef has my name all over it.

What does your "U" look like?

T is for Travels...tasty travels.

When I think of "T", I think of Tasty..  (Tastee, if you are a fan of Orange is The New Black... New Season starts June 12th..) So, for this reason I would choose to a date that is based on the premise of "Tasting your Town." Essentially, this is scouting out different locations for appetizers, main course and then dessert. You could go for a tapas style meal, or treat yourself to an indulgent meal.

Being tasked with the letter "T" can yield several great options. You could head to the local community theater or city theater to catch a show, tour a museum/tourist attraction, or participate in a Trivia Night.

Most importantly, the letter "T" starts one of my favorite words, and coincidentally one of my favorite things to do...Travel. Whether it be taking the train somewhere or trekking off to Thailand. Oh, to have a hefty bank account to take a year off and travel the globe.... #agirlcandream

Where would you travel to? What would your "T" date be?

S is for Scavenger Hunts...and Snap Shots of Memories through the Alphabet

When it comes to "S", it either has to be something Sports related, either participating (Let's hit the slopes and go skiing... I wouldn't mind trying snowboarding) or as a spectator.  I also am really keen on Scavenger Hunts...  If you've noticed, I've used found alphabet photos for each of my letters, doing the same thing and capturing snap shots of your own versions of the letters would be something I'd enjoy.

I feel like "S" offers so many great options across a wide spectrum of interests. Into board games? Scrabble. Wanderlust? Seattle... Spain... Safari in South Africa... Nostalgic? Skee ball at County fair or a rollerskating Rink...

What memory would you capture with "S"?

R is for Romance...at a Roller Derby

So, I would channel my inner Katniss and go to an archery range or practice my rifle skills in case The Walking Dead becomes reality. (Disclaimer: I'm not a doomsday prepare, don't misread my sarcasm for that for that... no gas mask or nonperishable food hoarding going on here...) It would be quite fun to have a friendly competition one afternoon, and since I'm a betting woman, a good wager for a reward could be up for grabs. (Ladies, if you are a sharp shooter, here's where you mention the loser pays for pedicures, and has to get one too!)

Mental Note: (especially if you're my faux turned real beau assigned to the letter "R") Romance is welcomed, so a Romantic getaway to nurture my wanderlust side..*cough Rome cough* would be okay... or any kind of romantic gesture really.

"R" does provide some acceptable options. Inspired by the movie Whip It, I'd like to experience a Roller Derby match. I also wouldn't mind putting on a cute sundress with some cowboy boots and hit up a Rodeo.

What would you opt to do for the letter "R"?

Q is for Quality Time..quintessential part of ABC Dating

I think what I love best about the idea of alphabetical dating, is that you are engaged in quality time with one of your favorite people, which is so important amongst the hustling & bustling of our everyday lives. Whether you are married with kids, are empty nesters or newly coupled, quality time is quintessential for any couple at any stage of their relationship.

I've mentioned this numerous times before, but I can be quite competitive. Not obnoxiously so, like I'm not about causing bodily harm to myself or someone else, but I would be lying if I said I like to lose or that All I do is win, win, win, no matter what. I'm like somewhere in the middle... so I would want to get a bunch of quarters and go down to an arcade or an establishment similar (Dave & Busters, Chuck'e'Cheese)

How would you spend Quality time with "Q"?

P should be all about getting Pampered...

Hands down, I'd like "P" to be all about getting Pampered. Pedicures sounds like the perfect plan..and yes...real men get pedicures. Another pampering idea would be a couple's massage - you can either splurge for a spa massage or perhaps you could take a massage class for a little pampering "how-to".

"P" does offer other potential opportunities. If you enjoy cooking with your significant other, perhaps you challenge yourself to making homemade pasta. Wanderlust? How about a jaunt off to the City of Love, Paris. Love animals? How about going to the local animal shelter to play with some puppies.

I wouldn't mind a little romantic picnic in the park or trying partner yoga. Some of the pictures I've seen are stunning and I volunteer as tribute.

What does your perfect "P" date look like?

O is basically for Mimosas

Since I won't be using zoo for "Z", I could easily use "O" to go see the ocelots or orangutans. I can't even remember the last time I went to the zoo, so that would definitely be a fun date.

Brunch is one of my favorite meals, so a foodie date with some tasty orange juice infused with champagne would be perfect, either on its own or as a pre-date fueling festivity.

Outdoors is one of the easiest options for "O." You've got a variety of outdoorsy things to do - from frisbee golf to hiking and from biking to canoeing... You could also venture to the ocean, either to the beach or maybe on a cruise? I would really like to go on an Alaskan cruise to see the glaciers and maybe some orcas.

To reveal the biggest secret to you....I'm a little bit of a closeted medical geek, like I looked into the possibility of med school for a bit before opting no.. Anyways, I would give anything to be able to view a surgery  an operation from the viewing deck.. I'm sure with HIPAA that's an unlikely possibility, but I would totally geek out at the chance to not see fake operations on Grey's Anatomy or watch televised ones on like Discovery Health.

What would your option for "O" be?

N.... is for Neon.. and Napping...

Honestly, I'm not really feeling the letter "N." Maybe my "N" game is weak, but my creativity when it comes that letter is lacking. I'm pretty sure I hope I don't get tasked with it on my future ABC dating adventures..

So, if I had "N", I would opt for something dealing with Neon.. like maybe The Color Run? Or an 80's themed excursion of some sorts with a host of friends... karaoke...bowling, etc. Wanderlust? How about a trip to New York to see a show on Broadway - Finding Neverland perhaps? You could Nibble at a restaurant that specializes in small plate dining... maybe you want to spend an afternoon cuddling with your love and Nap?

I'm keeping this pretty PG, if you want to up the game... Naked starts with "N", so does Naughty Nurse. [insert an appropriate emoji.. maybe with blushing cheeks or that "brown chicken brown cow"

What would you pick for "N"?

M is for Monopoly, Mammoth Cave, Murder and Maine

One of my favorite letters so far is "M", because I could come up with a myriad of ideas that would certainly create lasting memories on an alphabetical dating adventure.

I live a few hours away from Mammoth Cave, which is touted as the world's longest cave system, and I would opt for a spelunking date. It's in a touristy trap location, so there is also a miniature golf course, which I'm all about...

I am a secret nerd, so I wouldn't mind heading to a place where I can spoil my Mind with a Museum... or maybe tease it with a Magic Show? I'm usually participating in Murder Mystery Theater performances, but it would be really fun to be a spectator. How about a concert or a festival of some sorts to experience live Music?

Since I was born in Connecticut, naturally I feel a pull towards the New England area of the East Coast (Admittedly though, I am not a Patriots fan...) So to nurture my wanderlust, I would love to travel to Massachusetts or Maine... I'm feeling the latter one though, because I am all about Murder, She Wrote (I would totally binge watch multiple episodes on a date with myself) which takes place in Cabot Cove, Maine.. Does that place even exist?

Monopoly would be a good excuse to host a game night at home with some pals... I really love game night (Have you played Cards against Humanity? I rang in the New Years with some friends playing games all night and it was one of the best New Years...)

See what I mean about lots of options for "M"? I would have the hardest time choosing. What would you choose?

L is all about the Love... of Books.

"I love big books and I can not lie." I saw that on a tote bag once and it's a statement that could characterize a facet of me. I also sing the line, as intended, to the tune of Baby Got Back... just call me Lady Mixalot.

I would love nothing more than head to Library where we could both get a book of our choice. Perhaps we could head off to the coffee shop where we could sip on Lattes and Leisurely engage in a conversation before heading somewhere comfortable to Lounge around and embark on our Literary adventures.

Obviously this wouldn't work so well if your partner isn't exactly a bibliophile, so perhaps roadtrippin' for an "L" destination adventure would be better suited. I would likely opt to head up to Louisville, or go to the Lake for a little fishing, boating or camping trip. You could also keep it Local by attempting to only use Local businesses (no chain stores/restaurants).

As a twist on karaoke, if you weren't lucky enough to get to choose it for "K" or you are your partner are tone deaf, you could host a Lip Sync Battle party with your pals. There's a new show on Spike TV (Anne Hathaway slayed) that really highlights this fad in all its glory (Thanks Jimmy Fallon for jumpstarting this craze).

Maybe you could add a little extra romance to the night by writing and sharing with each other a Love Letter...Oh, how I love thee... let me count the ways.

What would you do with your Love for "L"?

Here's K - sealed with Kiss.

I once did karaoke dressed in 80's garb for a ladies night when I spent a month in Japan a few years ago. We sang some songs that appropriately matched our them, songs from our high school glory days and various songs in between. It was great fun to rock out, which is why I would insist on a group date to karaoke for "K."

Aside from karaoke, it's important to note that wanderlust is a real affliction and sadly, there is no cure, so if I had the bank account of my dreams and could afford to travel a lot, I would want to head down to the land of the Kookaburra's and snuggle some cuddly koalas at one of their Sanctuaries or jet off to Kenya for a safari.

If your bank account looks like mine, don't fret as there are affordable options that are fun. If you are into the outdoors, how about a little kayaking? You could pitch a tent at a KOA campground  and get your kayak on. I've only ever been canoeing, but I would be down for a kayaking adventure. You could consider enrolling in a Karate class at a local dojo, or spend an evening together in the Kitchen whipping up new recipes. Regardless of what you choose, any date should end with a Kiss of course.

What would be your choice for "K"?

J is for Jump...Jump through ABC dating

I've always wanted to go to one of those trampoline parks, so undoubtedly "J" would be a date there where we Jump it out... the soundtrack in my mind would likely be Kris Kross' "Jump, Jump."

If you aren't really into a date that requires you to burn some calories, you'd eat your way through "J" either engaging in some Wanderlust and jetting off to New Orleans for some Jambalaya or you can whip up some of your own, turn on the Jazz station on Pandora and have some wine.. maybe in a Jacuzzi if you have one? ..Everything is generally better with wine, right?

You could have a Jam-session and play rock-band together... or you could head off to a diner and put some money in the Jutebox..

If you were tasked with the letter "J" what would you plan on doing?

I is for the Ice-Capades, preferably Italian: ABCs of Dating

I'm not Italian, but I think I maybe was in a past life. I have an affinity, especially, for Italian food. Gnocchi, Gelato and Margherita pizza? Yes, please. I'm blessed to have been to Italy twice, so if three's a charm and I had large bank account, I wouldn't think twice about jet setting off to Italy for "I."

It's quite possible to bring a little Italian to Paducah, perhaps with an Audrey Hepburn "Roman Holiday" movie date with an Italian meal. Skip the take-out and try your hand at some homemade gnocchi. If you live in a Metropolitan area and have a Little Italy in your background, head on over to that neighborhood for some Italian authenticity on this side of the pond.

If you are watching your carb intake and pasta isn't in the diet these days (or if you are sensitive to Gluten and don't really like gluten-free pasta) how about you bundle up and head over to the ice rink for your own version of the Ice-capades (open skate time or even invest in a lesson) or check out a hockey game.  There's plenty of other "I" date options... you could have an Ice Cream date.... you could head out to for a weekend of Isolation sans iPhones and go camping or you could stay at a quaint little Inn (I'm thinking Bed & Breakfast here...) You could partake in a Magic Show for a night full of Illusions or head to a local museum or aquarium and have an IMAX movie date.

What would you do to fulfill the letter "I"?

H is for Horses and Hawaiian Getaways: Dating through the Alphabet

I took an opportunity for advantage when my parents owned some horses for a few years while I was growing up. Their rule was that in order to ride, you had to muck stalls. I wasn't about the shoveling shiz life at that time and so I rode infrequently. In retrospect, I wish I could go back to that opportunity, so I could spend more time riding.. since it's been a while, I'd opt to have a "H" date that involves Horse Back riding...  Now, if my wanderlust had a choice, I'd be galloping on the shores or cliffs of Ireland or would head off to Hawaii.

Speaking of Hawaii, I wouldn't mind heading there either. A little horse back riding on the beach? I wouldn't mind learning how to do the Hula either... and I would like nothing more than to Hike together through a pineapple plantation...or up a volcano... I'd say Stairway to Heaven... but technically that is off-limits and I'm not sure I'm about that trespassing life... oh, and mother nature took out some stairs this February... not about the premature death/serious bodily injury life either.

What kind of "H" date would you want to experience with your honey?

G is for Guns, Golf and Go-Carts: Dating through the Alphabet

I'll be the first to admit that I can be a bit competitive... I like to go hard and admittedly I like to Gamble... not for $$$ per say, more like betting.. For example, I may wager a beau something like, "If I win, you have to get a pedicure.." Far less harmless than, real money.. although sometimes I do bet for like $20 fake bucks...

Anyways, for "G" I would likely pick something that can be done together, yet competitively to nurture that side. We could go to the gun range (I'd like to point out that some ranges do themes, like zombies... which might be cool if you are fans of The Walking Dead) or rock some argyle and head out to the links (or miniature golf course or driving range) or heading out to the go-cart track to fulfill that need for speed.

If you don't dig the competitive route, that's fine. You can opt for other "G" related activities. Perhaps being a Gymrat is more your style and you can do a couple's workout, perhaps hire a trainer for a bonus, at the Gym. Wanderlust? Head to GreeceGermany or keep it local and head to Gatlinburg, TN or Georgia. (I recommend highly recommend Savannah) You're an animal lover? Head to the petting zoo to show some Goats some love. Maybe you share an affinity for the paranormal? Head out on a Ghost Tour - I'd love to take one in New Orleans! All about the Gridiron? Head off to a professional football game, an NCAA game or channel your inner teenager and head off to a local high school game for a date night.

What kind of date would you choose for "G"?

F is for Foreign Films on an ABC date Fit for a Foodie

It's an annoying quirk to some, but I do enjoy watching movies with subtitles, not just flicks that aren't in English. With my letter "F", I would twist this in my favor by hosting a date that includes a foreign film accompanied by food fit for the movie. Netflix has a huge assortment of foreign flicks to choose from.  How about a Bollywood movie? Now, Indian take-out isn't exactly available here in Paducah, so I'd have to channel my inner chef extraordinaire and put together a fabulous chicken tiki marsala.

If you have food allergies, or your significant other is a really picky eater, don't fret. There's other options for the letter "F." You could partake in a Football or Futbol sporting event (either by being a spectator or by playing). You could also round up some Friends and have some Food and Fun in the local park. Speaking of local park, you could take your Furry Four-legged Pals on a walk or you could grab your honey and nurture your competitive side with a game of Frisbee Golf.

What would you pick for your letter "F"?

E is for Explore Your City Like a Tourist on a Date through the Alphabet

So, at this point... there's been 4 dates that have been remarkably outside the box, and we are onto date five, the letter "E."

If you have little creativity or internet researching skills, you can opt for the easy choice of  "Eating."  But way to be an adventurous wet-blanket on that choice... or you can opt for dates with a little more pizazz.

If I was tasked with the letter "E" and had a hefty bank account, I would choose either to go to Europe, maybe an excursion to see the Eiffel Tower or to Egypt.  Like, le duh... I have been afflicted with the incurable Wanderlust bug... Now, since that is likely not the situation I would find myself in, I would opt to Explore my city like a tourist. Now, that can be harder to do when you live in a smaller city, versus a larger one, but I haven't been everywhere here in Paducah. It's time I spent time as a tourist in my own city and what better way than explore with a sweetie.

My other idea is to choose two or three fun excursions and put them each in an individual envelope. Then I'd let my significant other choose an envelope and we would venture on the excursion inside that particular envelope.

If you've been everywhere there is to go in your city, or really aren't up for the choose-your-own-adventure envelope idea, perhaps you'd like to go the healthy route and you'd like to exercise together. Maybe take a run or partake in an exercise class at your local gym? If you are eco-friendly, perhaps you'd like to work together planting a vegetable garden in your backyard, or beautifying the Earth around your home. Landscaping? If you choose the latter, come on over on my 30th birthday. That's what I've asked for.

What does your "E" date look like?

D is for Dinosaurs or Disney: Dating through the Alphabet

I am loving the found alphabet concept... photography scavenger hunt #spoileralert #P

I live in Kentucky, and we are lucky to have a tourist attraction/dinosaur theme park in this fine state called Dinosaur World. I've never been, although it's been on my list-of-places-to-go since I moved back to KY in 2009, but you see the big weather treated seemingly paper-mache dinosaurs while you are driving down the highway. If I had the letter "D", we would road trip it to Dinosaur World.

They don't have food service, so you can pack a lunch... How romantic to Dine with the Dinos...
If you aren't into dinosaurs, perhaps Disney World or Disney Land would tickle your fancy? If you planned for a few days, you can trek there and cross multiple letters of your list or you could fulfill the character themed fantasies of your kiddos. I had this autograph book and was tickled to death when I was nine and went to Disney with my Gramman & Grandad. From what I hear, it's too bad the characters have unions now and you basically have to find them huddled in establishments #bahhumbug

Some other options for "D" could include driving. This could either be renting a comfortable and cruising with the top down... or driving Go-carts around a track. Try to avoid doing something normal, every day run-of-the-mill activities like "Dinner".... don't be a wet-blanket with your alphabet dating.. If you chose something else for "B", you can do a dance class for D or you could could go to the club and hit the dance floor. If you're both artistic (or you are better at giving directions) you could also have DIY date where you work together on a DIY project for the home.

What would you pick for D?

Not to be "Catty", but there are other C dates...

I'm a certified Cat Lady... I mean... I really like cats...actually, I should be honest... I love them. I like how sassy they can be... a juxtaposition of I'll-love-on-you-when-it-feels-like-it and a let-me-snuggle-up-to-you-for-warmth. I find the sound of their purrs soothing and I like that they don't try to lick your flush off repeatedly... Now, I love them but I don't like that they are sometimes disgusting and regurgitate often or that I always seem to gravitate towards dating guys who are allergic to felines...#nowthatsadealbreaker

Ideally, I'd be like "Let's go pet Cats" I mean there's stores like Pet Smart... there's an animal shelter... a Sphinx Cattery (hairless cats feel like peaches... they love to snuggle... I want one...Don't judge).  I'd probably want to take a handful of cats home, so here are some safer other options...

If you live in a major city (or you trek to one) you can take a class at an Circus school. Trapeze anyone? If you are wanting to experience the outdoors? Camping.  Artsy? Concerts or community theater performances.

Now, in addition to loving cats, I also love to eat. (Please note: that I do not love to eat cats.)  I think it would be a lot of fun to partake in a cooking class. What a romantic culinary adventure...

What would pick for your date with a C?

B is for Ballroom Dancing through an Alphabetical Dating Adventure

We know I'm a bit partial to ballroom dancing considering I danced in Paducah's Dancing with Our Stars a week ago... If you want to see the video of the performance, it's here... in all its feathery glory.  #samba

The experience, not going to lie, makes me want to take Ballroom Dancing classes... now truthfully, it's a bit cheaper with a partner because if you don't have one you have to pay for private lessons versus group lessons. ($50 per hour versus $50 per couple for 4 classes a month)

So, if I had the letter "B", I would choose Ballroom dance and if I had a beau, I would hope that he would choose it... or it can be an ongoing date and there are other options for B that we can embark on.

If you are in a Metropolitan area, you can check out the Dining in the Dark establishment, Opaque. They have a few locations around the US, otherwise it also has popped up as a philanthropic 'Dining in the Dark' event raising money for nonprofits that aid in providing incredible services for those who have visual impairments. Essentially, you engage in a culinary adventure designed to tease and tempt the palette, all while in complete darkness. Seems like an interesting adventure, although it might not be enjoyable for the picky eater.

If you aren't near a Blind Dining experience, here are some other options for if you are feeling Adventurous? Bungee Jumping or a hot air Balloon ride. All-American? Burgers and Bowling. Spend the day with pals? Bocce Ball or Badminton. Outdoors? Biking or Boating. Wanderlust? Belgium... Bombay, India...

What would your ideal "B" theme date be?
