F is for Foreign Films on an ABC date Fit for a Foodie

It's an annoying quirk to some, but I do enjoy watching movies with subtitles, not just flicks that aren't in English. With my letter "F", I would twist this in my favor by hosting a date that includes a foreign film accompanied by food fit for the movie. Netflix has a huge assortment of foreign flicks to choose from.  How about a Bollywood movie? Now, Indian take-out isn't exactly available here in Paducah, so I'd have to channel my inner chef extraordinaire and put together a fabulous chicken tiki marsala.

If you have food allergies, or your significant other is a really picky eater, don't fret. There's other options for the letter "F." You could partake in a Football or Futbol sporting event (either by being a spectator or by playing). You could also round up some Friends and have some Food and Fun in the local park. Speaking of local park, you could take your Furry Four-legged Pals on a walk or you could grab your honey and nurture your competitive side with a game of Frisbee Golf.

What would you pick for your letter "F"?

  1. Heading out to the store to pick up some ingredients for Tandoor Chicken right now. I am doing an A to Z of Vampires, so my F is Farkaskoldus a Hungarian vampire that is part werewolf.

Your F sounds so much better! I used to live in Carbondale, IL so I am really familiar with Paducah.

    2015 A to Z of Vampires

    1. Tim - I love Indian/Asian cuisine and Tandoori chicken is one of my favorites! How did it turn out? What an interesting topic you picked for the A to Z of, I feel like next blog challenge I'm going to have to really step up my game. Carbondale, eh? Only a hop skip and a jump away!

  2. A Bollywood movie and Indian food sounds like a fabulous evening! And taking my "fuzzy fur-kids" for an outing is always a fun thing to do. Good post! Happy A-Zing...

    1. Hey Michele. Thanks for stopping by le blog. I love Bollywood movies - netflix has a great selection. They are quite reminiscent of our teeny bopper flicks or Hallmark movies. I can't help but laugh as I can call what's going to happen next. Still lots of fun though! I love the musical tour that you've decided to venture on.. My B would have to be Boy Bands... I'm not going to lie, I can still jam out to some old school N-Sync...

      Bye, Bye, Bye - Rachael

  3. What a fun concept for A-Z! For a practical and realistic date I like your idea of a foreign film and food to match (so many delicious options). If I was to unleash my wanderlust... how about jetting off to Fiji?

  4. Faye - sign me up for the trip to Fiji. Even though I'm a bit photosensitive, I'd love to stay in one of those fabulous bungalows on the water.. I'll let you have all the fun in the sun, while I kick back in the cabana with a chic lit book and a tropical beverage.. Your "G" reminds me of my recent trip to Italy.. man, I wish I could I have some gelato right now!
